Lauri Markkanen has been a big part of the Utah Jazz the last two seasons, but the Jazz haven't been able to get far with Markkanen as their best guy. After making multiple trades to their other vets, the Utah Jazz have to consider what direction they want to go. Going middle of the road next season is not an option and that's exactly where they'll be if they keep Markanen for another season.
