Some say that the smash community has gone soft. Back in the good old days, they will tell you, every win was for bragging rights first and everything else second. Today, we're too gentle, too kind, to ever return to those days. Over the course of two days in twilight of Smash's lock down era, two players proved that belief was wrong.

In July of 2021, two top 100 Smashers would come together in what may be the game's grimiest grudge match, at least of its modern era. This is the story of magi and mvlvchi, the rollback rumble salty suite.

This set was something i saw personally live and had always said i would make a video covering if i had a platform. I have one now, so I reached out to the two players from this set, production, and falco-peach experts to go over this bitter rivalry.
