Harlem Globetrotters Legend Reece "Goose" Tatum, the original "Clown Prince of Basketball," will be among a group of 10 distinguished players and coaches to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass., on Friday, August 12, at 8:00 p.m. EDT at Springfield's Symphony Hall.

Tatum, who will be enshrined into the Hall posthumously, was elected from a newly formed Hall of Fame committee representing Early African-American Pioneers of the Game.

A Globetrotter for 12 remarkable seasons, Tatum was considered by many to be one of the greatest basketball players of his era and one of the best showmen in Globetrotter history.

In the first clip of this video, Goose is playing against Hall of Famer George Mikan (no. 99) of the world champion Minneapolis Lakers, which the Globetrotters defeated in both 1948 and 1949.
