The woman found was tied to a tree, her body mutilated with branches and gruesomely disfigured. The murder victim's identity was quickly established. The search for the perpetrator proved more difficult. Police were able to reconstruct the events, however, and determine that the murderer must have chased the woman through the Beeskow Forest before killing her. Investigators are now revealing on television for the first time how the man was finally apprehended after 14 years.
"Täter - Opfer - Polizei" (Perpetrator - Victim - Police) is the crime investigation program for Brandenburg and Berlin.
