Syracuse police officer Michael Jensen, 29, and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Hoosock, 37, died in a gun battle on Darien Drive in Salina, N.Y., April 14, 2024. Syracuse police Chief Joe Cecile said the shooter, Christopher Murphy, 33, had spent the day trying to provoke an interaction with police officers.
