Mini Stroke | TIA (transient ischemic attack) | Why You Need to Take it Seriously

When TIA (transient ischemic attack) or more commonly known as mini stroke happens, it is a temporary interruption of blood flow to a particular part of the brain. Signs and symptoms of stroke happens but it goes away after (usually) just a few minutes.

TIA though is a warning signal that the possibility of having a major stroke in the near future is very high. The person who had it still needs to go to the hospital right away to lower the risk from suffering a major stroke in the future.

Tests will be done and procedures may be done and medications prescribed to lower the risk of having a major stroke.
