How to Tell If the Rock You Found Is a Meteorite

Meteorites have a unique fusion crust, density, and regmaglypts and are magnetic and non-streaking. However, many Earthly rocks can mimic these traits, and meteorites are almost never round and do not have bubbles or holes. If you believe you've found a meteorite, it may be difficult to get a professional opinion. Consider sending a sample for testing to a reputable lab or just enjoy the fun of claiming you've found a meteorite.
