In this video, I show you how to troubleshoot the cold control or thermostat on your Whirlpool Refrigerator. If your food is freezing in the refrigerator compartment or the whole machine is not cooling at all, the cold control thermostat cold be defective.

The cold control is located behind the refrigerator temperature control knob. It has two wires that attach to it and it tells the compressor and the evaporator fan when to turn on and off.
