Glenda Jackson, the two-time Oscar winner who gave up a successful film and stage career at 50 to become a member of the British Parliament and then returned to the stage at 80 as the lead character in King Lear, died Thursday in London, June 15, at age 87. Jackson received her first Oscar in 1970 for Best Actress in «Women in Love», and her second three years later for the romantic comedy «A Touch of Class».
