The show's original concept was developed by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and the script was written by Michael Jonathan Smith. Along the way, he teams up with a fierce car thief armed with an axe to battle savage marauders and other dangers on the road, including a crazed clown driving an eerily familiar ice cream truck.
