Faster than Legolas!
A historical technique much faster than the known.

The Danish archers Lars Andersen has rediscovered. an old and very fast way to shoot bows.

To compare speed
I have added 4 other good fast archers together !
to show the time it takes to shoot 10 arrows.

It is completely unscientific and not objectively
The 4 other archers can probably shoot faster than these video.

Properly done "arrows in the hand" puts no restrictions on the bow strength.
But being able to do this with very strong war bows will probably require a lifetime of training, far more than the time I spent.
Stress on the body is really high with extremely fast shooting with powerful bows if you have not first built up the necessary strength,

Shooting on the chain mail:
It is with the video because it shows how much energy "low pressure" modern carbon fiber bows actually provides.
Ring armor is good quality riveted and with rings on the 7mm
(if the test should have been right there should have been a gambeson below)

I had first agreed with a blacksmith that he should make special arrows chain mail tips, but made first a test with normal arrows, and quite surprisingly smashed all the ordinary arrows straight through the ring armor.
it surprised me a lot because I had thought that I had to use one of my heavier bows.


It should be remembered that if you look at past archers: the 60,000 year and throughout the world. so most archers never shot at enemies with iron armor.

Today we often have an incorrect idea that war archery is always against enemies in iron armor.

There are no truths, or proper ways to shoot with bow,
