Hyundai aren’t shy about telling us how fast IONIQ 5 charges. 10-80% in just 18 minutes? The problem is, not many people seem to see those speeds. Fast charging is dependent on the battery temperature so, since it was a lovely day, I thought I’d drive to my nearest 350kW charger and test it myself.
I use an OBD dongle and Car Scanner Pro to find out the battery temperature. Car Scanner is a fantastic app which works with many OBD dongles. The link to the one I have is here — if you purchase it using this link, I get some money so thank you in advance:
