Max (Cayden Boyd) is at school when Sharkboy (Taylor Lautner) and Lavagirl (Taylor Dooley) suddenly appear and take him with them. At first, Max thinks everything is a dream, but they need them to save their world from the darkness. All his classmates and teacher are surprised by these two creatures.
