Ronnie Long, a 68-year-old North Carolina man who spent 44 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted, was recently awarded an historic $25 million combined settlement in a civil lawsuit. He appeared on CNN's 'Laura Coates Live' on February 6, alongside Duke Law Clinical Prof. Jamie Lau, supervising attorney for the Duke Wrongful Convictions Clinic.

The clinic, which represents Long, says the settlement is the second-largest wrongful conviction settlement ever recorded.
