Seffner (Fla.) Armwood Top247 running back Girard Pringle Jr. was offered by Miami as soon as Matt Merritt was on-boarded as the Hurricanes next coach at the position. The two have a relationship dating back a year.

While at USF, Pringle was a top target for Merritt and the two built a tight bond. As the 5-foot-10, 182-pounders recruitment took off this spring with programs like Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas A&M, and others offering, Merritt quickly pushed the Hurricanes to the top of the list.
After spending time in Gainesville, Athens, and Tuscaloosa over the past few weeks, Pringle returned to Coral Gables and decided it was time to shut down his recruitment and commit to Merritt and Miami.
