Wallace begins by recollecting his meetup with Kurt Cobain's Grandfather Leland Cobain at his trailer park home in Aberdeen, Washington, describing him as a friendly character who openly talked about his suspicions over his Grandson Kurt Cobain's death.
Wallace talks about his experience as a hired consultant for Nick Broomfield & BBC's Kurt & Courtney and the campaign Courtney Love would go on to stop the film from ever seeing the light of day which resulted in Sundance President Robert Redford denouncing her publicly for her opposition to an Independent Film using copyrighted music (Nirvana). Spoiler: In the end she won because the film we got was not the film Nick Broomfield wanted to make. Wallace explains that there was an alternate ending that the BBC forced Broomfield to change.
Wallace also talks about Nick Broomfield's attempt to get an interview with Seattle Police Department's Lead Detective of Homicide, Donald Cameron, by walking straight into the SPD with his cameraman rolling & how Detective Cameron reacted to Broomfield's presence.
As we get deeper in the conversation Wallace seems to redeem himself from earlier accusations about Krist Novoselic's mental stability and Courtney Love's immense talent and respectability. He focuses more on what's important and pertinent to the case. I inform Wallace that I'm having a hard time determining what side of the fence he's on and ask him straight out if he believes Kurt was murdered.
