Director Netia Jones teams up with Esa-Pekka Salonen, actor Bruce Davison, dancer Adji Cissoko, and musicians of the San Francisco Symphony to present a new digital production of Igor Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale.
Salonen calls the piece, a darkly comic story about a soldier’s encounters with the devil, a “complete change of paradigm” following the horrors of World War I and the influenza pandemic.
