Protective language is important when you’re treating someone with trauma. If we take a more gentle and precise approach when treating trauma we can ensure we avoid causing more pain.
In this video I talk about what we need to keep in mind when helping clients overcome trauma or PTSD, and the why some approaches can actually make the trauma worse for the sufferer. I explain what we can do to avoid using words that could trigger our clients
