The Saint Cecilia Rainbow Ministry is pleased to host an evening with James Alison, Catholic priest, author, and theologian. His talk is entitled "The Joy of Being Wrong."

James Alison (b. 1959) has studied, lived, and worked in Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Spain, and the United States as well as his native England. James earned his doctorate in theology from the Jesuit Faculty in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1994. Alison is noted for his application of René Girard's anthropological theory to Christian systematic theology and for his work on LGBT issues. James was brought up in an Evangelical Anglican family and became a Catholic at the age of 18. He was ordained priest in 1988. For more information, please see www.JamesAlison.com.
