EVERYTHING in the train show is made from botanic materials— even the windows of miniature NYC buildings are made from tree sap, not glass! And that's a lot of materials, because every iconic (and even lesser known buildings) I could think of in the city were featured in miniature form in this show. Not to mention bridges overhead to support adorable trains zooming by.

Admittedly, for me the train show really stole the thunder from the outdoor light displays. But, it IS called the New York Botanical Garden Glow & Holiday Train Show is for a reason— the outdoor light arrangements and shows are pretty too. Plus, there were even ice carvers present at the time of this recording!
