The Mystery of Aaravos is well underway and while I have enjoyed it, I also have my gripes with it. My BIGGEST complaint is... the writing. It just kind of feels like seasons 4 and 5 were first drafts. You know? Like, I like the ideas... they just needed a little bit more time in the oven. But of course, you are here because of Rayla.

Rayla is the most obvious casualty of the aforementioned questionable writing. Today's discussion is one of those long ones so to save you some time if you happen to be reading the description before watching: Rayla stopped being a fully fleshed-out character and just became a plot device. Yeah... It may be a hard pill to swallow but... is it a lie? I definitely spent some time laying out my thoughts on the matter so I hope you will listen and hopefully enjoy.
