Tracked in Chapter Select are: Souvenirs, Hugo's Herbarium (which includes the 5 Flowers and 7 Feathers). These you can track via the Codex any time to identify missing ones.

Not tracked in Chapter Select are: Secret Chests, Knives, Tools. If you miss any of these, write down which to grab them later in Chapter Select.

IMPORTANT: Don't break knives on enemies! You need them to open the Secret Chests. There are fewer Knife Spawns at higher difficulties. It's highly advised you play on Narrative (Easy) difficulty, which is what this guide is based on. Some Knives won't be there for you on Normal/Hard/New Game+. If you break a knife by accident restart the checkpoint immediately or else you won't be able to open the Secret Chests.
