Day Two may have been more downhill but it was no walk in the park! We complete almost double the miles of our first day on the bikes, yet encounter much warmer conditions that lead to muscle cramps, a few minor crashes and more sand round out another tough day as we approach the big mountains between us and the pacific ocean.

The Baja Divide may be one of the hardest bikepacking routes in the world. Last year, Eric Archer and I completed most of the route from San Diego California to the Southern part of the East Cape just South of La Paz Baja California Sur. This year we decided to pick up where we left off and complete the Cape Loop- a 250 mile loop, off pavement and often through very remote sections of beautiful Baja Mexico.
