Often in agriculture we may be tempted to treat corn hybrids as if they are all the same. Likewise, we may be tempted to do so with seeding rates. As Pioneer Field Agronomist Matt Montgomery explains, there is not a “one size fits all” seeding rate for corn hybrids. Seeding rate is specific to the corn hybrid and if we don't follow that seeding rate recommendation, we could dramatically increase the likelihood of yield loss in the fall.
