Longtime Off-Broadway and regional performer Leo Ash Evens was cast as the Apostle Phillip in a temporary replacement role through July 1. Playbill met Evens just as he was leaving home and heading out to the Neil Simon Theatre for final rehearsal. We tagged along as Evens talked about fueling up for the long day, his love of the Upper West Side and his anticipation of his long-awaited (finally!) Broadway debut.
