!Yo! I'm back with my first Seoul street photography POV vid, and to kick it off we're going to cruise around the city's street photo golden zone: Euljiro 3-Ga. This video was super fun to film, and to work out on a technical level. For my first time shooting miked up and with a double camera amalgamation, I think it worked out ok!

In this series on South Korean street photography, I'm hoping to show more than just the photos. I want to give a sense of what it's like talking to strangers, how to have positive interactions, and how to be invited into people's personal spaces and places. Street photography has the potential to be an overwhelmingly positive activity, one that encourages mutual understanding and closeness with other people, rather than the perpetuation of difference and distance.

The last thing I want to say is that, for the little bit of advice I do offer, I try make it applicable to your context, not just photography in Korea. Hopefully some of the photo tips that work for me in Seoul, work for you wherever you are. If they do, be sure to let me know!

*My Korean is not super good. I've done my best with the translations in the captions, but if you notice anything egregious, please let me know and I'll be sure to adjust it. Thanks!
