I started by drawing a design in auto cad and and printing the plans. I drew the plan on two layers of 24 mm plywood and attached mold parts with screws along the curve. I cut 6x45 mm larch stripes and planed them to 5 mm thickness. All together, I used 120 pieces which were 2m long. I used two component melamine glue for lamination. Groups of 8 stripes are glued together and pairs of 2 stripes are placed in between without gluing. Pairs of two act as 1 cm distancers and are later cut into smaller 10 and 5 cm pieces. After the glue sets, pieces are removed from the jig and are planed down to 4 cm thickness. straight 2 m pieces are cut to 38 cm length and are glued onto seat with 10 and 5 cm stripe pieces glued in between. 10 cm stripes hold the legs and seat together. After glue sets over night, excess wood is trimmed, everything is sanded and sharp edges are rounded with router.
