The island has an area of ​​22 square kilometers and a population of 4 thousand permanent residents. It belongs to the prefecture of Attica and it lies 2 hours away from Piraeus with the fast flying dolphin. Many people visit Spetses by road, through a two and a half hours journey across the #Peloponnese to Porto Heli or neighboring Costa, a beautiful resort on the coast of Argolis, and then pass across to the heavenly land of Spetses.

We start our tour with a lot of walking! The coastal boulevard invites us to discover it. Neoclassical houses and mansions, impressive churches, boats in picturesque harbors, beaches and horse-drawn carriages make you believe that you are living a fairytale myth of another era! It should be noted that car traffic is prohibited on the island, except for a few exceptions for the needs of residents.
Spetses island can be easily reached by helicopter and yachts as well. Extra luxury and pleasure!

The year 2010 the Prince wedding of Nicholas, son of the former King of Greece Constantine, took place in the church of Agios Nikolaos, in a majestic ceremony, as befitted the occasion. The #Royal families of Europe were invited and their members honored the event, such as Queen Margherita of Denmark, Queen Sofia of Spain and King Felipe with Letizia, Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands with Maxima, Princess Madeleine of Sweden and more.

Every September in Spetses is celebrated Armata, a spectacular representation of the naval battle between Greeks and Turks in 1822.
