On the same day that State Sen. Scott Wiener (San Francisco-D) was invited to come to a community forum in South L.A. to discuss his very controversial bill, SB 827, which has been called "Urban Renewal 2.0," he attended a forum in another part of the city stacked with bill supporters, and has consistently refused the request of Black leaders to discuss the draconian gentrification bill with the Black and Brown residents South LA residents heavily impacted.
