Volkswagen has officially unveiled the new Tiguan long-wheelbase SUV at the Beijing Auto Show 2024. Called the Tiguan L Pro for the local market, the SUV is almost 200 mm longer than the standard Tiguan and retains a five-seat layout.
The Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro SUV is 4,735 mm long, 1,859 mm wide, and 1,682 mm tall. For comparison, this is 197 mm longer, 17 mm wider, and 43 mm higher than the 5-seat Tiguan. The SUV also has a 111 mm longer wheelbase than its five-seater counterpart. It has the same MQB AO architecture as the Tiguan.
In China, the Volkswagen Tiguan L will be powered by a 186 or 220 PS 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, again mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automated gearbox. The most powerful versions will feature 4Motion all-wheel drive. A hybrid variant will be added to the catalogue at a later date.

Volkswagen ha presentado oficialmente el nuevo SUV Tiguan de batalla larga en el Salón del Automóvil de Beijing 2024. Llamado Tiguan L Pro para el mercado local, el SUV es casi 200 mm más largo que el Tiguan estándar y conserva un diseño de cinco asientos.
El SUV Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro mide 4.735 mm de largo, 1.859 mm de ancho y 1.682 mm de alto. En comparación, es 197 mm más largo, 17 mm más ancho y 43 mm más alto que el Tiguan de cinco plazas. El SUV también tiene una distancia entre ejes 111 mm más larga que su homólogo de cinco plazas. Tiene la misma arquitectura MQB AO que el Tiguan.
En China, el Volkswagen Tiguan L estará propulsado por un motor turbo de gasolina de 2.0 litros de 186 o 220 CV, nuevamente acoplado a una caja de cambios automatizada de doble embrague de 7 velocidades. Las versiones más potentes contarán con tracción total 4Motion. Más adelante se añadirá una variante híbrida al catálogo.
