A trip back to our home town, offered a nice heave glass dome for a serving dish. I couldn't help but think of all of the birthday cakes for our daughter in our future. This piece is a composite build of three pieces of black walnut. Two came from the scrap pile, while the main platter is a beautifully figured, colored, and curled piece of private reserve stock.
