We take the opportunity of a recent crossing of the Channel on a Brittany Ferries car ferry to ponder about the importance of CO2 emissions of this mode of transportation. Normally, it would be a relatively short cruise if taking the ferry from Calais to Dover or the other way round. But how about if you're doing 300km, and cruise from Portsmouth? Can we find literature on the impact? We end up calculate our own estimate on the back of some available information.
