Most people would say we are crazy for packing our two young kids in the truck, driving 8 hours to recover an old muscle car.... but that's exactly what we did. A project this big I figured we do this as a family and make it mean something to us! This 1972 Chevy Nova has been off the road since 1977. Parked 46 years ago it would remain in a barn until only recently. What makes this exciting to us is we have looked at over 60 Novas and finding this one is what most people would call "The Holy Grail". Can't say how thankful we are for our friend Gerry who found this for us! To everyone looking for a classic car of their dreams all I can say is patience will pay off. Do not settle for less than exactly what you want. Yes it took over a year to find our car but it was well worth the wait and now our dreams have come true. Come with us now as we being the journey of recovering and restoring this piece of history. This 1972 Chevy Nova will be quite the restomod. This episode also concludes Rustorations Volume 1: Search and Discovery. The next Series "Volume 2: Restore and Re-Build" will focus on the re-build of this vehicle. But unlike most car builds this car will be restored by people who have very little experience. It is our goal to share our journey, share our mistakes and celebrate our victories.
