Southwest Airlines Flight 1248 was a scheduled passenger flight from Baltimore, Maryland, to Chicago, Illinois, continuing onto Salt Lake City, Utah, and then to Las Vegas, Nevada. At approximately 19:15, while attempting a landing into Chicago Midway, the airplane slid off the end of runway.
How did this happen and why was this aircraft unable to stop?
