In the year 2000, Donovan traveled around the country and saw Tina Turner on her 24/7 tour 21 times.
After Tina seeing him in the audience doing all the steps, singing all the words to every song, she one day surprised everyone and invited him to perform Proud Mary with her in front of a sold out crowd in Dallas, TX at the Reunion Arena on October 28, 2000. To this very day, it is the best day of Donovan's life! Donovan is the only fan that she has invited on stage with her to perform!
