You can now deffer your mortgage payment for ups to 6 months by claiming forbearance. The US Government just passed its 2020 strumous bill which allows homeowners who purchased their home using a federally back loan like a USDA, FHA, VA loans, to claim forbearance for up to 6 months and skip their mortgage payments during this time. All they need to do is claim a financial hardship to their lenders and say they want to defer their mortgage payments or claim forbearance.
