How can an artist know which label is right for them if they have multiple offers? Shawn Barron (VP of A&R at Motown/Capitol Records) says artists should do their research on the label and the A&R's recruiting them as well. Some labels might concentrate more on a certain genre then others and the same goes for any A&R. By doing research an artist can figure out which label an A&R is right for them.
