The mother of Breonna Taylor whose death sparked worldwide protests against police brutality has told Good Morning Britain that 'black people in America will continue dying unless there are urgent reforms to policing.'

This comes after one of the officers who shot and killed Breonna in her home in 2020 has now been re-hired by another police department in the state.

Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville police officers who entered her apartment with a search warrant on 13 March 2020. It was later determined that the suspect they were looking for had already been arrested and was in custody.

Her partner, Kenneth Walker, mistook the officers for intruders and fired a single shot, injuring one. Officers then returned fire with 30 rounds.

Myles Cosgrove lost his job with Louisville police after fatally shooting Breonna, but he has now been re-hired as a police officer in Kentucky. Her mother Tamika Palmer tells Noel Phillips he should be fired.
