I’m not mad at the song per say. The “I’ll fight a bitch for my man” isn’t necessarily a bad trope because it’s about jealousy and claiming that the message is wrong would just be equivalent to agreeing to the double standard that when male idols sing songs about being jealous it’s hot but when girls do it it’s problematic (which it isn’t) …but for a girl group literally called ‘Girls on Top’ it’s just a little mind boggling. SM ??? What are you doing???

So I decided to take matters into my own hands. This is not intended to be anti-men, it’s loosely based on real life experiences and also i just watched gone girl again so i might just have been extra passionate when i wrote the replacement lyrics. I tried to keep the maximum amount of original lyrics possible that were genderless/fit the new concept but i’m not Korean so I have no idea if the flow makes sense.
