I headed up north a bit to Rum River State Forest in Minnesota. I've passed this place a million times on the way to our family cabin, but haven't ever checked it out. It's quite a day to be out in the woods, with temperatures dipping down into the low 20s and deer hunters scattered about - but Ellie and I make our way to a campsite on the edge of the woods. We immerse ourselves in cabin life and wake up to the surprise of snow on the ground!
