Why I chose a Kia EV6 EV as my electric tow car.

Having driven electric cars towing caravans at the Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year Awards 2022, I knew I had to have one myself. The question was, which one?

I loved the Skoda Enyaq, but the 1000kg towing limit of the more affordable 2WD variant would seriously limit my choice of caravan.

I wanted an electric towcar with a good range, high-speed charging capability, a decent tow limit, and at price no greater than the low £40ks.

The Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 ticked ALL the boxes.

It came down to a fight between the EV6 and Ioniq5. In this video I reveal what was the deciding factor.
