What you should be looking for on a RV when you are shopping. Delamination is one of the biggest value killers on all RV's. Lack of preventative maintenance by customers leads to the worse thing to happen with their RV.

Delamination occurs when the glue in the luan and plywood disintegrates by heating expansion and cooling contraction that leads to the separation of the fiberglass from the wood. A "Bubbling" effect occurs. This is a sign of water damage.

Dry rotting of the Roof Membrane and the Lap Sealant (roof caulk) along with side wall and front and rear wall penetrations that are not properly sealed with weather resistant caulking. Harding and cracking leads to eventual water intrusion and then the water leads to rot damage and is a perfect breeding ground for black mold.

Let's look at WHAT & WHERE to look for these common damages to occur. This is especially helpful with a Used RV buyer.

*Slide Floor & Roof Rot
*Floor Softness (Rot)
*Roof Softness (Rot)
*Inside baggage compartments
