The Capitol Gorge flash flood on June 23rd 2022 taught and shaped us. We remember the events as they unfolded and the lives that were saved due to the National Park Service and a lot of luck. We explore this now dry terrain with the large rock, the face, the island, and the spot where the helicopter picked us up.
