After a hiatus that lasted eight years, Samus Aran, and the Metroid franchise, had been given new life thanks to Retro Studios: An unproven developer who insisted that the way to make Metroid 3D was to turn it into an FPS. The road to redemption was full of controversy.

However, the Dolphin emulator recently added the ability to "passthrough" a Bluetooth device, and massively improved its ability to interface with a real Wii Remote. Using a real controller now feels just like it does on an actual console. So if that's an option for you, I'd recommend it.

Yeah, at some point. At the moment I don't have that good of a way to capture 3DS footage, though.
