A McDonald’s employee has gone viral after showing exactly how the McRib is made and stored, and TikTok users are absolutely disgusted.

Whether your favourite is McDonald’s, KFC or Taco Bell, everyone is guilty of enjoying some fast-food from time to time. However, it’s best not to think about exactly what you’re eating because there’s usually a reason why that food is so cheap.

Social media is full of horror stories about how those burgers and nuggets are made, and now a video is taking over TikTok that shows how McDonald’s makes the McRib – and social media users are horrified!

MCDONALD’S EMPLOYEE SHOWS HOW THE MCRIB IS MADE AND STORED
An employee at McDonald’s has taken to TikTok to show exactly how the fast-food chain makes the McRib.

In a video posted by @thatonedepressedginger on December 7th, the worker shows how the McRib is stored, showing the meat product in a tray and writing on the screen: “As promised I posted the video of the McRibs. I don’t know how long those have been in there.”

The fact that he doesn’t know how long the food has been in there and it’s about to be served to a customer is a little worrying, don’t you think?

It gained 20,000 views and many people urged the worker to post exactly how the McRib is made from start to finish. So, on December 9th, they posted another video doing exactly that.

First, they start by placing what looks like a white block of frozen meat onto the grill. Note, it looks nothing like the ribs you’d find in a proper restaurant!

Then, once it’s cooked, it goes into a tray where it is covered in the BBQ sauce and stored until it needs to be served to the customer.

The video has had a huge 3 million views and 85,000 likes.

SOCIAL MEDIA USERS ARE HORRIFIED
TikTok users have been reacting to the viral McRib video, and it’s safe to say they’re absolutely horrified by how the popular menu item is made.

One person commented on the video saying that the meat looked like “styrofoam” whilst another said it looks like a “brick”. Another person wrote “why is it white?” and someone else simply said “never eating this again”.

However, others weren’t shocked by the video at all, saying: “Did you expect them to use real ribs? They’re expensive.”

There were also a lot of comments from other McDonald’s employees who claimed that the worker cooked them wrong, and also criticised them for not cleaning the grill.

Despite the backlash, there were lots of people who claimed that they will continue to eat the McRib because it still tastes good.
